1/29/2007 New TVersity (0.9.2.2)
I love TVersity. I have mentioned this software before but they released a new version. And with a little hacking of Windows so
I could update my system properly, I am now able to transcode all my AVI video files to my XBox 360 on the fly. Which means I will
not have to convert file in order to watch them on my XBox. And TVersity supports a wide range of media devices such as wireless media
players, cell phones, XBox 360, as well as many other devices. And if you are having troubles getting it to work, check out their
forum where many answers have already been answered and a moderator that does a great job of helping.
And another thing I have mentioned once before, I love NewEgg.com. Recently from
NewEgg I have gotten a 1 Gig Micro SD card for
$14.99 (now it's only 12.99) from Kingston. Then just yesterday I went looking for a USB keyboard and a couple 10 foot USB cables and
decided against buying anything at stores like CompUSA and Best Buy because they were asking for way ($33.00 for a 10 foot USB extension).
I came home and looked at new egg and got two ten foot USB extensions plus the keyboard for less then a single extension cable at the other
places, and that includes shipping and handling (cables were $6.00, and they were the expensive ones). Not to mention they are shipping out
copies of the OEM Windows Vista tomorrow, both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions.
Tomorrow Alkaline Trio is releasing a new CD containing rarities, B-sides, and split EP songs and an extra DVD that they say has hundreds of
hours of footage of the band behind the curtain. Alkaline Trio, for those of you who don't know who they are, has some of the best music I
have heard. With their incredible melody mixed with their dark, death filled lyrics make for a incredible punk rock band they brings a lot
to the table and delivers every time. If you haven't heard of them before, check out their siteAlkalineTrio.com
where you can listen to some of their music, and though the quality on the web site is sub-par, it will get you the general idea of who they are.
I said I would post the new episodes of Red Vs. Blue on my web site, so here is the latest from the Rooster Teeth Team,
Episode 88 - Spelunked.

1/10/2007 Red Vs Blue New Player
Red VS. Blue has decided to jump on the recent band wagon of playing movies through Flash Player, but instead of doing it through Google Video/YouTube, they will be using their own Flash Player. This now enables for people to watch their shows just about anywhere, including here at my site. And just to use this new technology here is a link to play the new episode right here on my site: Red VS. Blue Episode 87.
Now take a look over to the menu on the left. The once Download button has been transformed into a more useful button, Media. When Rooster Teeth gets more episodes of Red Vs Blue up, this is where you will find them. Also note that the movies do require the latest version of Flash.

1/06/2007 Happy Late New Year
Well the site has been down for a few weeks, and unfortunately this one was my fault. But anyway's that is all
fixed now and hopefully won't happen for a long while. So again, my bad, I apologize.
So in Wii news, the weather channel and the Opera Internet channel were released. I never have been into the
weather that much, but I have to admit I find the weather channel convenient. It's nice to be able to look at the
five day forecast. As for the Opera channel, it is buggy. Flash seems to have a lot of problems and every once in
I will be thrown back three sites. But it is kind of fun and not bad for a free thing. But I am sure not going to buy
it, and if you want it for free too, be sure to download the full version before June 30th. The full version is due out
sometime in March, and if you download the full version before June 30th you will be able to continue to use it
for free for the lifetime of the Wii.
So I got Far Cry: Vengeance yesterday for the Wii and wow, not wow in a good way though. OK I was not expecting
the same visual effects of my 1080i XBox 360, but I was expecting better graphics then the 1997 game Goldeneye on my
Nintendo 64. I seriously wish I was joking about this. The cut scenes are a joke, a bad knock knock joke. Knock knock,
orange ya glad I didn't say banana?
Moving on from the graphics. The AI is not quite all there either. There was a time that I was able stand in front
of an enemy two feet from his face and this is what I heard: "Where is he? I heard something." I then proceeded to shoot him in which case
he did absolutely nothing about it. Now for some positive. For the most part the controls are done well. The only
thing I seem to have trouble with so far is accurately jumping. The cursor does not jump around like it sometimes
does in Red Steal. Needless to say I am disappointed with the game, the story is short told and the graphics mixed with
blur effect that they are using is distracting and a disgrace to the system. It is games like this that people think
that Nintendo is nothing more then a joke system that has to use innovation over looks, the ugly girl with a good sense of
humor. I am crossing my fingers that Metroid will once again shine a new light like the two Metroid Primes on the Gamecube
did.
