I mentioned two days ago I would do a piece about how you can get Vista and save a bunch of money. Just how much can you?
Well on the Ultimate Vista, you save $150.00. So it is definitely worth going to the page,
Windows Vista Full Install with an Upgrade Disc. And if you want to do a quick find on
this later, it will be underneath the Windows Page in the news area, so just click on the Windows icon at the top of the page.

That's what is new in the Wii world. If you browse to the Wii Shopping channel and navigate the Wii Ware then you will
find something new there called Everybody Votes. It was just released today, in fact, as I write this (11:30 P.M. 2/13/2007 Mountain Time)
I can not find any site that has discussed this new channel, so I am going to claim you heard it here first : ). O.K. enough
being proud of myself for being bored and checking out the shopping channel and on to what the new channel is about.
It's basically voting, on weird stuff, but for some odd reason, a little bit addicting. Maybe it's because humans just love
to express their ideas, no matter what it is about. Here are the list of questions that were released on the first day:
| Which is a more romantic Valentine's Gift? | Chocolate or Roses |
| I'd rather live in a house on... | The Beach or The Mountain |
Which century would you prefer to live in? | 19th or 22nd |
| Which do you prefer? | Dogs or Cats |
After you are done with moving your Mii character over to the option you prefer, it will then ask if you want to make
a prediction on which choice will the majority of the people choose and when the poll is over you can check if you were
right on your prediction and if you agree with the majority.
The new Wii channel isn't anything too exciting that will get your underwear up in a bunch, but it is free and as weird
as it sounds, I think it will be interesting to see what the rest of the world thinks when compared to myself.
If you are thinking of building a new machine and installing Windows Vista or planning to do some upgrading, be sure to check
back late tomorrow because I will be posting something that could literally save you hundreds of dollars.

It seems all the gaming sites are talking about this new thing that Bungie is releasing into Halo 3. Every where
I go I am reading about Halo 3 having a new features. So I was thinking "Hey, they finally released what the X Button
will do in Halo 3." Well unfortunately that is not what the news is all about. Apparently everyone is talking about
the ability to mute a player who is annoying you. Well I got news, this isn't news. Well, not to the extent that these
gaming places are making it out to be. They had the ability to mute a player in Halo 2, the only problem, which is why
a lot of people don't know about it, is that it is a pain in the butt to do. So it's not a new features like you are
reading everywhere, it's a better way of doing it. Instead of having to pause, go into recent players list and finding the
player that is bugging you, selecting him, blah blah blah blah blah, now you just have to push the Back Button, select the
player using the right thumb stick and then mute the player. Quick and easy, it's pretty much one step more than check the score
in Halo 2.
Well I was busy today procrastinating homework and so I decided to make the watching of Red VS. Blue a little more enjoyable
here so I kinda dressed it up a little. There is now every single episode from Season 5, except for two PSA that they have not
made Flash versions for, in the Media page as well. Go check out the Media Page and feel free
to bookmark it for your quick RVB fix. Note: You need to have Adobe Flash and Javascript.

There is a show on Comedy Central that if you watch that channel, you have probably seen. Reno 911, or as they like to call
themselves, Reno's finest. It is currently in it's fourth seasons on Comedy Central, and has over 40 episodes. If you have not
seen it, the show is basically a play on the show COPS. Apparently Comedy Central has had so much success with the series that
they have decided to make a movie called Reno 911: Miami which is due out February 23.
Reno 911: Miami
I have been playing with the newly released Windows Vista at my work for a little while now. Let me first start off
by telling you that if you want Vista to run with everything such as the new Aero style and everything, you better have a
beastly machine. I recommend if you are doing two gigs of RAM as well as a dual core processor because this thing will
eat up all your computers resources leaving you with very little left to work with. At work we are running Dual core Pentium
2.8 GHz and one gig of RAM and it gives those machines a work out. Sitting idle with no applications running (besides the side
dashboard) Vista takes up around 500 MB of memory. We have experienced a few bugs, mostly when we tried running applications
that Windows said weren't compatible.
But it's not all bad, in fact there are a lot of cool features, some of which are so small, I didn't even notice a couple of
them the first few times I was around them. One of the small things that they have added is to the Task Manager. They have added
an additional column that is a description field which is nice when you are browsing through it and want to terminate unnecessary
processes. A pretty cool application was added called Windows Meeting Space, which is basically similar to MeetMeNow, Go To Meeting,
or WebEx type application. It has a few bugs in it right now as well, but is a great free application... if everyone you plan on
have the meeting with has Vista. But I am sure there will be a third party application along shortly that will allow a Windows XP
machine to join these type of meetings. Which will greatly hurt the online meeting business.
Microsoft has also released Office 2007 which I also have installed on my office machine. It is not nearly as intensive as Vista.
I must say, Microsoft does a great job with their Office applications. With many new features added to every application and new
formats that are based around XML standards. The files are in fact smaller than older Office 2003 files when you save them. Plus
they have started using what they like to call a ribbon. It replaces the old menu style with File, Edit, Help, etc.
But unfortunately, I am not willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for Office 2007, I will just stick with my
Open Office for a grand total of $0.00, that's free for those of you
who think I might have left out a number.

Well right after I place my order a week ago, I posted a little about Alkaline Trio's CD they just released entitled
Remains. I wasn't sure what to expect from this album because the band has definitely matured there over the ten years they
have been a band. And with this being a collection of songs from different albums that weren't on the B-sides or just didn't
get a chance to make it onto the American version of the album (such as Hell Yes). When looking at the cover, you will
notice that the Trio went with a very graphical image illustrating songs that were cut, so to speak. But don't be mistaken, just
because these songs were only on EP's or B sides doesn't mean that they are not good. In fact, they are all good old Alkaline Trio
with 22 songs of dark lyrics of love, drinking, sinning, and fire.
Also included in the case is a bonus DVD that contains a little over an hour of clips from concerts they have played
over the pass two years and a lot of behind the scenes type footage. It looks like most of the concert scenes were shot from the
same two concerts though and you only get two see them play a couple songs live. There is also five music videos:
Stupid Kid,
We've Had Enough,
Time To Waste,
Mercy Me, and
Burn. All of coarse are in
much better quality. Then last on the DVD is the Bonus Features which has some acoustic guitar, interview, and the making of
the video Burn.
I was pretty happy about my $15 purchase from Interpunk.com. Alkaline Trio has announced they have started work on their next
full length album that will have all new songs and it's suppose to be out this Spring.
Just to wrap things up, I had this posted in the Media section yesterday but didn't want to make a post just to let you know about it.
The new
Red Vs. Blue, Episode 89 - The Haystack has been
released, so click on the link and watch it. This episode is hilarious.
