12/26/2006 Twelve Days Later
Well I am back from my week and a half vacation in the Gulf of Mexico. The cruise was awesome
and I have to say what made the entire trip the most was the FlowRider where I was able to try
surf, or at least flowboard. I will post images once I get them from my sister and mother. If you
want to see what I was riding on, check it out at the products official web site,
FlowRider.com. My sister and I surfed on
the thing for at least 16 hours, if you have one in your area (can be checked out at FlowRider's
web site) that alows you to surf and not just boogie board, I highly recommend that you check this
thing out and get a seasonal pass.
While I was gone, Bungie and XBox decided to release a video called "Et Tu, Brute?" which is a
documentary about the new creatures that I said I thought looked different at the end of the
comercial that was released a little while back. Well they aren't new creatures, rather Brutes in
new armor. These new brutes are meant to be rougher, smarter, and more organized that Brutes from
Halo 2. Not only do they talk about the new Brutes, but you will also get a climpse at a new shotgun
and the new SMG. Well enough yammering, check out the video:

12/14/2006 Hooray, I Can Find Things
And you can now find things too. Hows that you ask? Through my new insite search engine. Now that my
web hoster is back up and running I can now add the search function that I was working on. I would like to
thank TSEP (The Search Engine Project) for the easy install and set up. Try it out, simply click on the menu
option to the left that says Search. Tomorrow is my last day I will be able to post, I will try and find something
interesting to post about, but I will be extremely busy so I don't know if I will be able to find anything. If I
don't have time, HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ME, PUNKSTER812.

12/11/2006 Oops... It Slipped?
As a story to stupid to make up, so weird that I at first did not believe it, the Nintendo Wii has been
blamed for many television sets ranging from plasma, to LCD's, to projection being broken. When I first heard
of this problem, I thought it had to be one or two really stupid people who were drunk and flinging the
controller a little to much. But apparently this has been a major problem. Don't believe me, check out this
e-mail I have received from Nintendo themself. I only wish I was joking:
So apparently this is a major problem. All I have to say is if you have a Wii, and
your hand becomes sweety, simply take two seconds to push pause (+) and wipe your hands
on your pants. Don't be stupid.
VideoLAN, the best video player if you want a program that can play just about any video,
has just released a new version, 0.8.6. I would list off some of the new features, but the
site has received to much traffic and had to make it nothing more than a simple shortcut to
where you can download the program. If you have never used VideoLAN (VLC), it is a program that
can be run on Windows, MacOS, or Unix systems and can play almost anything but Realtime video.
And just a heads up, there will not be much posts inbetween the dates of 16th through Christmas
Day. Not because I don't love you, but I will be out of town, on a boat to be exact. Bye bye for today.

12/6/2006 Lots and Lots of Stuff
Well my web hosting troubles are still around. I was going to wait till it came back on line, but
it's taking way to long, so I will just keep hosting it out of my house for right now. So lets talk about
lots of things that I have been meaning to talk about but either forgot or was waiting on such as
Windows Vista, Halo 3 trailer, some reviews.
Well Windows Vista is coming out January 30th, 2007 to the general public, it is currently out to businesses.
Prices vary depending on which version you want:
- Home Basic:
$199.00, Upgrade $99.95
- Home Premium:
$239.00, Upgrade $159.00
- Business:
$299.00,Upgrade $199.00
- Ultimate:
$399.00,Upgrade $259.00
The brand new Halo 3 tailor/commercial can be downloaded from Bungie or the XBox Live Marketplace and I am sure
it can be found many other places. All I have to say is HOLY $#!%. Umm... pardon the language. But yeah, the new trailer
is incredible, filled with excitement and emotion. There is a lot of new things that are "revealed" in this trailer.
For example, a new shield grenade that when thrown, pops up and protects you, hence the shield part. And another thing you
can notice is at the end when Master Chief jumps off of a ledge and if you pause, you can see what appears to be a new
enemy, or breed of an old enemy, all I know is they looking meaner. If you haven't seen the trailer, PLEASE for your own
sake and go watch and have your heart pump and your hair stand on end. Also you can now sign up for the Halo 3 beta over at
halo3.com.
This review is a little over due,
but it still is worth mentioning, and lots of people still don't have the game. Gears of War was suppose to be a launch title,
but instead it came out a year later. And if it did come out on launch, I would be much more forgiving. The first problem
with this game is it's constant problem loading thing properly. There will be times where you are sitting there playing on
insane and you kill everyone you possible can, and then you can't go anywhere. Your team moves around like nothing is wrong but
you can't get through the door to progress and so you spend ten minutes running around trying to find something wrong. Finally
you have to start over from the check point, and sometimes you have to restart the ENTIRE LEVEL.
Moving on from the loading problem, lets move to the Unreal 3 Engine. As incredible as the engine is, I feel this engine is
becoming old as it is just being released in games. I remember seeing the engine in early 2005 and I was totally amazed with it.
Then I found out it was coming out at the end of 2005 to the XBox 360 and was stoked. But it wasn't released until November of
this year, way to late. Already, the engine is getting old. Don't get me wrong, this game is beautiful, but it would have dominated
anything anyone had seen one year ago.
All in all I enjoyed this game, sure it may not be all that the Epic and the media hyped it up to be, but it's still a pretty
good game.
Red Steel, like Gears of War, had my attention
from day one of me hearing/seeing the game. But unlike Gears of War, it was there when the Wii launched. This game sparked excitement
in lots of people. A First Person Shooter(FPS) with sword fighting thrown in the with possibilities that the new Wii controllers brought.
Needless to say, it's a good launch title, but not a killer app. There are some bugs that need to be fixed such as jumping of the cursor
as you are trying to aim. I also had a few loading mess ups similar to the ones I was having in Gears of War, but here I never had to
reload an entire level. The layout of the game as far as how you move to new levels and progress through the game is unique and I enjoy it.
The controls of the game take about an hour before you really start to get the hang of it, and I had to turn off the locking system because
it messed me up more than it helped. Pick up this game if you are looking for a shooter on the Wii and can't wait for something more polished
like Far Cry.
Rayman: Raving Rabbids, the game with the
hilarious screaming "rabbids" with buck teeth. This games story is horrible to say the least, but is also so much fun, that you don't even pay
attention to that. There isn't much background while playing the game, I actually knew more about what was happening from commercials I have seen
then I did from actually playing the game. This game is nothing more than mini-games. Fun, addicting, highly entertaining and hilarious mini-games.
I made my arm muscles tired three weeks in a row playing this game due to it's music game where you drum along with the music. This is a great game
for the whole family to sit down and play. I can say that this is a game for anyone, all ages, unless you hate funny or addictive things.
I will save my review of Zelda until I am much further in the game. I haven't got to play Zelda as much as I would like to for this reason, I hate playing it because
once I start, it is so hard for me to put down the controller. Seriously, Zelda is awesome. I have played about 8 hours and feel like there is about to be
a major twist that will make the end of the game feel like an eternity away. I will also talk about Wii Sports when I talk about Zelda.
For today that is it, go do some productive, like make a bottle in a ship. Actually that wouldn't be productive at all, instead go clean your mess up or
do homework.
