8/30/2007 After a Drought, Comes the Flood

Over the past couple months, new outstanding titles have been few and far in between. But just as ever does the same thing, once again, with Christmas on the horizon, we are bombarded with hit titles. The biggest one on any 360 owners list is Halo 3, which comes out in 25 days, so what can you play to hold you over? Well Bioshock was recently released and I summarize this game as a grown up RPG, not one for the young. Parents be warned, don't buy this game without a little research first because this game contains plenty of swearing and high violence, and is a fun game with very detailed, beautiful environments.

Speaking of high violence, another game that can hold you over is a little older, it's called The Darkness. This game has it's moments with good graphics, but nothing we haven't seen on the XBox 360 before. In this game you play as someone that basically pissed off the Don of the mafia you are in.

And for all of you hardcore RPG fans, Blue Dragon was just released this week. If you haven't played the demo for this game yet, I would suggest doing so. After I got pass the corkyness of the game, I enjoyed it, but it is definitely not for everyone. The characters (from what I got from the demo) are your standard RPG characters, a main strong character, a annoying little creature that talks in a weird voice, a chick character, a smart character, the usual.

Here is a list of some of the larger titles coming out soon:

8/14/2007 New Windows Tips

Well I added a new program to the Software page called AutoIT. If you haven't visited the Software page ever, you should, it's filled with free, spyware/virus free programs. AutoIT program is perfect for network administrators or software testers. It basically allows you to do mouse clicks and keyboard entry and allows you to automize almost any process.

I will also try to use AutoIT in the new section of the Windows I called My Personal Tips. In this section, it has the Windows Vista Upgrade Trick and the new page about how to disable the UAC that is built into Vista. If you are currently or plan on being a Vista user, I recommend that you take a peak at it, it may save you a head ache. Go to the Windows page or go straight to Disable UAC to view this page.

8/3/2007 It's All About The Halo

The title of today's post basically describes it all, everything in this post will have to do with Halo.

Lets start with something that many people have been worried about, co-op. Well now it is official, up to four players can play online co-op. Up to two players can play on a single screen, so you can all be on separate consoles or you can have two players on two XBox's. And you can play with two, three or four people for Co-op. This is how the character layout works, one player is Master Chief, another is the Arbiter, and the last two are Elite models. So there is no need for XBConnect as you can just hook up with your friends now. For more details check out their post at Bungie or there is a little more information at their Weekly Update.

Halo 3 Co-op Characters

The people over at Rooster Teeth appear to have been hired for marketing. They have released one of five shorts that "gets you ready for Halo 3.' It appears some of the jokes will appeal to the Beta testers. And thank you to gamerawr.com for the video, because these are pretty much just found on sites like EB Games/Gamestop.

But that is not the only marketing that is being done for Halo 3. They have also just released Limited Edition Mountain Dew cans called Game Fuel, "Dew® with an invigorating blast of citrus cherry flavor." I bought some yesterday to try the new Mountain Dew and it is not half bad, a little sweet, kinda like orange soda. They can be found pretty much anywhere that you can buy Mountain Dew. Below are some images I took.

What will we see of Halo 3 in the time between now and September 25th? Only Bungie knows for sure.
