8/27/2006 It's Morning, Time For Bed
Update:
I just wanted to use my new Javascript tool more so I found something else I could show you. Here is what I
think will be the first 3rd party software for the Wii that will be a big success, Rayman Raving Rabbids. And
no I did not spell rabbits wrong, that is the tittle, they are like bunnies, not actually bunnies. This game
looks like it will use the Wii controller in new ways more than any other game and looks funny. There marketing
is a strange one and that's what I want to show you. I will also show a Wii clip and you can tell that
Nintendo is REALLY marketing towards everyone as there is a 12 year old boy, his hardcore punk rock sister, and
the good ol' fashioned Grandpa in the trailor, it also shows some actual gameplay. So enjoy the 30 second funny
clips as well as the trailors.

GC 2006 Trailor
Wii Trailor
Official Trailor
And if you watched the Wii Trailor, yes you can do ALL of that stuff, including the dance that the Grandpa does,
which will make things interesting for people who can not dance. There is tons of things they are doing that
are funny and inventive such as milking a cow, by moving the two controllers up and down. I just keep getting
more and more excited about the Wii and have even began to enjoy the name, awww... I want to Wii.
End of Update
I am not sure why, just one of those days I guess. It is currently 6:00 A.M. and I am still awake, but finally
tired. I tried going to sleep around 1:00, but just couldn't. I had some ideas in my head for some changes
around the site so I figured I might as well work on them sense I am just laying here, maybe it will make me
tired. Sure enough I can no longer type correctly, my words become bassackwords and I use the Backspace button
a lot.
But to the changes. I finished another level for the video walkthrough of Hitman: Blood Money, the level is
The Death Of Crows. The thing I wanted to add was to be able to watch the video without leaving the site,
but I don't have enough server space to host them directly on my site. So I want to thank Google Video. Through
the power of Javascript I was able to make this cool video area that pops up when you click Watch. I am still
providing the videos for download as well through FileFront.com's fast servers, and if you download you can get
a better quality/size video for the most part. I did this one a little different, I muted the game's audio and
threw in music instead. Tell me what you think, but don't watch the video if you are planning on playing the
game by yourself, as it is a walkthrough. Check out the new video as well as the new feature
here.

8/24/2006 EVE6 Reborn
EVE6 was probably my favorite band sense my sister introduced them to me back in 1998 when they released
their self-titled cd EVE6 with the hit song Inside Out. Sense then they have released two other CD's,
Horrorscope and It's All In Your Head, which had hit songs like Here's To The Night and Think Twice.
But unfortunatly they played their last show as EVE6 on July 15th, 2004 and I have been sad
ever sense. But there is a new hope. They call themselves The Sugi Tap and is made up of the lead singer
and drummer of EVE6, Max Collins and Tony Fagenson. They have two songs released on MySpace.com that you
can check out, it's not quite the EVE6 speed/style, but it's definitly got Max's awesome lyrics. It's a
good listen to for relaxing and thinking, I am interested in the CD and will have to get it being a big
fan of theirs. Check out their two songs,
The Sugi Tap at MySpace.com.
Just the other day, I was in a place I thought I would never find myself in my life, except to cause havoc.
But still I was in a Macintosh store yesterday. It was very creepy, it was like they hired every single
teenage stereotype from comercials. They even acted that way. They were really helpful and everything, just
it was weird being a PC guy that plays with Linux just because. A lot of the people in the store tough were
there because Mac is the new hip thing, filled mostly with teenage girls around 13 just giggling their
heads off and there was only two people there I could tell have been using Macs for years and they worked
there. But needless to say I am sure my sister will enjoy the laptop for her photography.

8/23/2006 It Starts Today
And ends tomorrow evening. I speak of Texas Hold 'em being released to the public today for
free on the XBox Live Marketplace. You probably have till tomorrow around midnight Westcoast
time to grab this free download. Also released just yesterday was the fourth episode in the
Red Vs. Blue series Out of Mind. I have yet to decide if this series is suppose to be funny
or mainly informitive about Tex's history with a couple jokes here and there. All I know is
each one feels to short and not as funny as the regular series. For all the XBox 360 players
who haven't played the award winning game F.E.A.R. on the PC yet, you will not have to wait
all that long for developer Sierra to release this intense FPS to the 360 as according to XBox.com
the game will be released this November. This is going to be a strong closing year for XBox
with the console supply finally catching up with the demand, Enchanted Arms in stores on
the 29th, the Live Vision Camera and Splinter Cell: Double Agent coming out next month, F.E.A.R. which was a huge success on PC as well as Gears of War which is the most anticipated
game to date for the 360 being released this November, I would say 360 fans will be rejoicing.
As of right now, all I am looking forward next year is the biggest hit sense Halo 2, Halo 3.
There were a few more game announced today for the Wii including Mario Strikers Charged,
the sequel to the Gamecube's soccer Mario Strikers, as well as Battalion Wars 2, a real time
action strategy game, cleverly named BWii. It's like BW II (WWII) with the console Wii in the
name, very clever. Both of these games will have online multiplayer with up to four players for
Mario Strikers Charged and currently not know how many for BWii.

8/21/2006 PS3 interface
Sony Playstation allowed IGN.com to show off their user interface, and I have to say, umm..
to put it nicely sucks. After using the XBox 360's great colors and broad navigation. If
you have seen the PSP interface, than you have seen what is the current PS3 interface. It's
a blue background with small icons that when selected have icons underneath it. And their
big catch is you can add your own image to the background so you don't have to look at the
blue screen the whole time you own this investment. It just seems that a user interface that
was built for a handheld would not do that well on a 40 inch screen.
That's it for today, if you haven't watched the guitar video from yesterday, scroll down and
watch it, seriosly, it's awesome.

8/20/2006 Don't Forget about...
I was just casually browsing through the XBox.com when I saw a little ad talking about the Diamond
Card. The one that I waited like six months for, and the only time I tried to use it I had forgot
the coupon that I printed out that was required. So it's been this thing taking up space inside
of my wallet. So I went and checked out what new deals they have going on over at it's official
website, XBoxLiveDiamond.com. There
are a few good things like at Arby's you can get a free sandwich when you buy medium fries and drink.
But I was just reminding you incase you are like me and forgot all about that thing. And if you
haven't got one yet, they are free to XBox Live Gold Members.
I started Prey late last night and finished the story by about seven tonight, and that includes
sleeping in, eating, taking my dog for a walk and other things. It was a good game, I just
found it to be a little to easy. And I feel a little foolish about posting how they announced
there was going to be a Prey 2 considering at the end of this game it says "Prey will continue..."
But my biggest question here isn't about Prey, but rather the developer 3D Realms and just what
are they doing with Duke Nukem Forever? This title has lead to many lame jokes and I am sure I
will spit one out by the time I am done with this post. This Duke Nukem is the 4th in the series
and been speculated to be released any where from 1998 till forever, in another words never. But
the game is still under works, though very little is known about the game other than that sense
2001 when there was a movie released about it. It has under taken many changes such as switching
from the Quake II engine to the Unreal engine (not sure which Unreal, I believe the older, maybe they will upgrade again?).
You can't even find official screen shots of the game any more, here is a quote right off of 3D Realms web site:
The screenshots and videos that were here have been removed as they no longer represent the game's current look and feel. We will put more up at a later date.
The game sounds incredible, and even when I saw it FIVE years ago, it looked awesome so it's hard to
imagine what has happened over five years. But as I said they are still working on it, that's about all
the official news there is left of this game. I just hope this game doesn't become a lost
hope and the title becomes the production. And I will leave you with a little bit of Duke
Nukem guitar that is really well done. You have to hear the solo.

8/17/2006 Prey 2, $100 Dollar Laptop, and Achievements
This is sorta old news, but they have built a $100 laptop.
That might be old, but the laptop is now starting to be released to the market. 500 laptops will be sold
to students Thailand. These students will be receiving the laptops instead of books as the books will be
electronic. What is the ultimate goal of these $100 laptops? To provide computers to children
everywhere and to countries who can not afford a standard laptop. It is really cool what they
are doing for power saving and other means of making this a laptop that would be great for
countries that aren't as fortunate as we are. AMD is the processor inside and through a few
different power saving techniques they are only using about 1-1.5 watts in common usage it
was designed usage. One cool thing it does is allow the monitor to stay on while the rest of
the computer sits idle. For more information you can go read a lot of info at wikipedia,
wiki.laptop.org
And for some not as old news. Prey 2 is already in development by 3D Realms. They are working
on multiplayer gameplay and new innovations. Did you like Battlefield 1942? Well get ready
for Battlefield 2142. EA is allowing you to
pre-register
for the beta of the game, which seems weird to pre-register for a game that will be for a
pre-released game.
Red Vs. Blue has updated their site with new graphics and a different color scheme, a little
darker of a red. Also they are releasing their Out Of Mind series featuring Tex onto their web
site so people who do not have a XBox 360, although they release like a month after XBox Live Marketplace
and not quite the same quality. I just wish these movies were longer. And speaking of site adjustments,
I am still adding new things (like pretty pictures) to the
Achievements page.
It may sound funny, but I'd give you all my money,
and keep on going without a doubt. - Catch-22

8/15/2006 My First... Gaming Movie
Update: Today after work I was able to re-do the origional movie I did of the first level
and made one for the second level. I re-did the first one to add the audio. Simply go to the XBox
page and click on Achievements or the big XBox 360 logo to see the start of what I have been
planning for a few months.
Today starts the making of my video strategy guide for Hitman: Blood Money which will be hosted
over at FileFront.com. I started with the first level, so if you are having troubles on any
difficulty settings, following what I do will get you the Silent Assassin ranking. Unfortunatly
the recording process messed up so there is no sound on it, maybe I will have to re-make if I
get the chance. This will also begin the launch of a thing I talked about a while ago called
Achievements Made EZ which will start off small and will probably stay that way unless I can
get some help, but is still a good start for gamers. But I need to get to work, maybe I will
write more depending on when I get off. Go watch my video
walkthrough.

8/14/2006 Thinking Like A Hitman
For basicly the past week I have been playing Hitman: Blood Money. At first I was horrible at this
game, but as I began to pick up how the game work I have got fairly decent at killing my targets
without witnesses or bodies being found. In fact, I tried to look for a strategy guide for a couple
of the levels I was having trouble with but could not find any that were complete. So I am wrapping
up the game for my own entertainment here soon and will be making a video walkthrough on Professional
with a Silient Assassin rating on most, if not all, the levels. I will also be starting my next game
as soon as I have all the Achievements for Hitman, Prey, which I have heard is a cool game.
A new game has been announced for coming from PC to XBox 360. Project Offset (working title) is a FPS
taken place in a fantasy world similar to Oblivion. I hadn't heard of this game before, but I went and
watched a trailer at projectoffset.com
and my jaw droped. This game will be using their own engine called Offset Engine (OE) that just looks
amazing. I am so glad that this is coming to both the PC and the 360, cause I am a console player first,
then a PC, although there are some that I prefer on PC like Unreal Tournament and Call Of Duty.
ATTENTION: Want to make your own XBox 360 Arcade Game? Well soon you can. Microsoft will be
releasing a little thing called XNA Game Studio Express which will assist you in building games for
both the XBox 360 and the PC. How much is this piece of software? Free to anyone with a XP system.
You can join a "Creators Clu" in which you will be able to share the games you create to other 360 owners
as well as recieve other tools to help speed up the programming progress but that will cost $99 a year.

8/5/2006 Wraping Up Loose Ends
Well there were a few things that I haven't got the chance to write about either because I forgot
or some other piece of news came up. One thing was Warp Tour. If you didn't go this year to the
Denver show, in my opinion you didn't miss much. The scene keeps growing so more and more people
keep coming as the bands get bigger. Probably the biggest dissapointment for me this year was
Rise Against. I was so stoked to get to see them again because I saw them two years ago at Warp
Tour on a side stage and they were awsome, so full of energy. But this year do to their recent
success with "Swing Life Away" they got moved to the main stage and had a bigger crowd waiting
at the stage they were about to go on then the band playing before them. Then when they played
it sounded mediocore and just lacked the stage presence that they did two years ago.
Another thing was I beat Lara Croft's Tomb Raider: Legend within two days and got every
single achievement in the game shortly after that. I really enjoyed this game, just wish
it was longer or that their was more challenge in Hard mode. The only tricky part to this
game was finding all of the rewards which can easily be found by going to
GameFAQs.com
where you can get a step by step how to find them. So the next game I am going to beat is
Hitman: Blood Money which I am already completed five levels in. This game will take me
a little longer as I find it much more difficult, I guess I wouldn't make a very good hitman.
For the past couple days I have been in Casper (where I am till tomorrow morning) where I
decided to come home at the last second to surprise my Mother who had just been in the
hospital, nothing serious, but none the less it was fun to see her be so excited about me
coming home to visit.
If you haven't heard yet, E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) was rumored to be cancled
and in my opinion, basically has. But it isn't completely dead instead they are down sizing
the event and renaming it E3 Media Festival.
"The new E³ will take shape over the next several months. As currently envisioned, it will still take place in Los Angeles, described by ESA as a "great and supportive partner helping to build E³." It will focus on press events and small meetings with media, retail, development, and other key sectors. While there will be opportunities for game demonstrations, E³ Media Festival 2007 will not feature the large trade show environment of previous years."
From what I hear, it's basically due to the fact that the show costs millions of dollars to
put on and that most developers don't see enough return to make it worth while. Can you just
imagine how much all those stereo systems and gigantic televisions would cost, just for the
people hosting the show, plus all the developers. I just wish I got to go once before this.
And for the last bit of news today is for the XBox 360 owners/future owners. The release date
for what has been promised has a best seller and was suppose to be much closer to launch game
has finally been announced. The game is Gears Of War from the same people that bring us the
incredible Unreal Tournament will be coming to the system finally on November 12th. So I know
what I will be asking for my birthday, I can wait a few days after my B-Day to get this
present.
I've searched in vain for a love that would never be true.
