I wanted to do a quick update, just to kind of get things rolling again. I started working
on some new pieces, I am trying to build up some of the sub pages, such as the Linux page
which is a little lacking in the content department and find a way for me to provide you
with new news that doesn't take up a whole lot of time (at least until I am done with school
and don't feel like I am constantly rushing just so I have a little time to do what I want).
But as I said, those pages will be hopefully updated soon so that they can provide you a one
stop place to get some of the latest news in the technology world.
I have been playing with the Halo 3 Beta, and if you are one of the ones who is unable to
play it due to the lack of XBox 360 or you didn't want to buy Crackdown, here is a general
rule of thumb that will work about 99.999% of the people. If you like Halo 2, you will like
Halo 3. The game itself feels like Halo 2 with add-ons or extensions. It is fast past games with
weapons that are pretty rounded and grenades that can fly. It's almost as if they took some
of the best parts from Halo 1 and 2 and basically combined them... pretty simple but smart
move. There has been lots of improvements that I have been able to see.
Don't be expecting a whole lot of changes, it's this stuff that has made Halo famous in the first
place, and it's what is going make the Halo trilogy end famous.
And last little bit I would like to end with is that Guitar Hero III has been announced for all
systems (PS3, PS2 XBox 360, and Wii). The release date is currently Fall of this year (not sure
if that is all systems or not) and all the systems will have wireless controllers made to
represent the Gibson guitars. So all you Nintendo owners who don't own a Playstation or Xbox 360
can finally enjoy the entertainment that is Guitar Hero on your Wii.
Everybody's so afraid to be different. Please excuse me now if I don't get it. - Less Than Jake

I have upgraded to Windows Vista, and so far I am loving it. I had to turn off the UAC (User Account Control)
because that is the annoying thing that asks you "Are you sure you want to do this" every time you
want to do anything. It also prevents you from doing commands such as ipconfig /flushdns. I decided to
install the 64-bit edition even though I have heard lots of problems when it comes to drivers. But so far
Windows has done a pretty good job on supplying drivers for anything that is a couple of years old. In fact,
after installing a fresh install (using the Update Trick I talked about), using the drivers Windows automatically
used, I was able to play Unreal Tournament 2004.
Now as far as the title of this post, ABK (Alpha Beta Kappa), that refers to the Honors Society that I was
accepted into... without me even knowing it. Apparently my program director decided to put me in it and I
received the invitation yesterday.
And for those of you who haven't seen it and are impatiently waiting for the Beta of Halo 3 where you will be
able to play this map (see below) along with two others, here is a leaked video of what you will be playing.
The level is a remake of Zanzibar and is now called Last Resort. Enjoy.

Hello, it's been a long time sense I have written anything for the site. I have had my head going
so fast lately, and when ever I have had the time, I wanted to relax and game to take my mind off
of a lot of things. But it is currently 2:30 in the morning and I am getting ready for bed and I
thought I would update you on everything and let you know I am still alive. Tomorrow I will probably
be upgrading to Windows Vista because my hard drive decided to crash on me. I got it to spin long
enough to grab the files I wanted off of it and will be sending it back to Seagate sense it is still
under warranty. I wanted to wait a while longer till Microsoft fixed all the kinks that are in Vista
(which I am still using at work), but with half of my hard drives down, I figured this was as good of
a time as any. Not to mention my XP has been acting funny lately.
But I really don't want to write for to long because I have to wake up in under five hours and go
do a speech for my public speaking class. If you haven't picked up Guitar Hero 2 yet for 360, go do that
as soon as you read this. It's a blast for the whole family.
