4/25/2006 Stopping to Take a Breath
This has been a crazy past ten days. I have been so busy with both of my jobs and school at the
same time that I haven't even really got a chance to play video games, like at all. Good news
is my last day at OfficeMax was on Sunday (4/23/2006) and so here soon I will be getting a
little more spare time to get back to writing every couple of days or so.
I am working for this company and we have spent this last week and a half preparing for this
event and so I have been puting in
many hours out their working on stuff, often times past midnight. Needless to say, I am writing
this on the 25th but you may not read it until the 28th because I am currently in Washington DC
at the show. The only way I will get this out earlier is if I find an free access point. I am
meeting tons of incredible smart and cool people down here and am having a blast, but I can
not wait for this show to get over simply so I get rest because I haven't had time to breath
in over a week.
I am not completely sure but I do believe that NOFX's new CD has been released so go to
Interpunk.com to make sure. Oh and
also, if you have seen Punkster812 on XBox Live for the past three weeks, that has not been me,
that has been my buddy Admir who was borrowing my origional XBox because his 360 broke and I let
him use my gamertag. But he has gotten back a new 360 and is extremely happy and gets a free
Microsoft Game Studio game (PDZ, Kameo, or PGR). But I really need to get to sleep so I can be
ready for our opening day tomorrow at the show.

4/15/2006 Nintendo Starting to Shine
Well E3 is coming up in about a month. Last year the XBox 360 was sort of the most focus
considering it was the only system that was playable and the beautiful game called Gears of
War. Well Gears of War is hear again, but we have already seen it, now the only thing that
game can do now is give us a playable version. PS3 only had a tech demo last year and their
goofy looking boomerang controllers and this year isn't looking good considering the PS3 got
pushed back untill next year. So what does Nintendo have bubbling?
Well Nintendo is coming out swinging and looks like they may be landing a few uppercuts. DS
owners just got a awesome first person shooter called Metroid Prime Hunters and they are
about to get another major Nintendo character. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will be
shown this year at E3 and this game is looking beautiful. It takes the art style of The Wind
Waker and combines it with the feel of A Link of Time.

Go over to the Download page in order to download a sneak peak (thanks to IGN for the movie).
Zelda fans will be excited for this game.
But that is not all that Nintendo has been hiding up their sleeves. A game called Red Steel
and is going to be an exclusive title for the Nintendo Revolution. The developer, UbiSoft.
UbiSoft has been doing pretty good so far on the 360 with their game G.R.A.W. This new title
for the Revolution will feature both guns and swords, which will take great use of the new
wireless controller. Best part of all? It is lined up as one of the launch titles AND is going
to support on-line multiplayer.
This year is looking good for Nintendo. They will most likely have some sort of playable demos
at this years E3, many great titles coming to the DS, a console releasing at the end of the
year that is backwards compatible with Gamecube games, you will be able to download a large
chunk of Nintendo's back log games and even some games from Sega (can you say Sonic?), a long
awaited Zelda game being released around the same time as the new console, the new console
being cheaper than all the others, and the list is always growing. We will probably see
everything soon when E3 comes to us. I hope you are excited about the Revolution as I am.

While you're taking your time with apologies, I'm making my plans for revenge.

4/12/2006 Let's Talk Strategy
I have been playing a lot of Perfect Dark Zero lately, I have always liked it but I am liking
it more the more I play it. I don't consider myself veterian to the game, but by now means am
I a n00b. Why do I bring that up? Well I am trying to get all of the achievements in the game
meaning I have to complete the game on Dark Agent, extremely difficult. I find it easier to
beat Legendary in Halo 2 than it is to beat Perfect or Dark Agent. So I thought I would buy a
strategy guide to give me some good tips, hoping that it would tell me some really cool secrets.
I have a few good things to say about this book, but for the most part it will be negative.
So this is what the book looks like, awsome cover featuring the beautiful Joanna Dark. Then
you flip through the first few pages getting a bunch of history about Joanna and her background
in the world of spying. Then when you finally get into the missions, it looks very promising
giving a basic overview including pictures for every room. But as you begin to read through
and try to execute their advice you soon begin to notice that they were playing this game on
a lower difficutly because it usually included you taking a few shots here and there which can
kill you on a hard difficulty. They don't tell you good spots to take cover on, in fact most
of the time they have you just running around in the open. There are very few things I found
usefull about this guide from Prima. If you want some tips how to beat this game on Perfect
Agent or higher, don't spend your $20 dollars here, this is more for people who need help with
the game in general. Go to GameFAQS.com if you want a strategy for high difficulties.
Well I am thinking about moving my gamerscore off of the main page, to perhaps the XBox page.
Tell me what you think, just shoot me an E-Mail.

Wish I could be like you, indifferent to it all and life's a joke.

4/7/2006 Hurry Up Vista
I absolutely hate waiting for something that I want. I first put off building myself a new
computer for financial reasons. Now I am holding off for compatibility reasons. I mentioned
a while back that Halo 2 will be released for the PC but only for Windows Vista. That is due
to the fact that DirectX 10 will be released with Vista and Vista only. More about it on the
Windows page listed under DirectX 10.
Rare Studios has released their update for Kameo that in my opinion should have been there
in the first place but my guess is that it got canceled in order to release the game on
XBox 360 release date. The update will allow on-line co-op game play and is free to download.
When you put in Kameo and are connected to XBox Live you will be prompted for a auto update.
If you are really bored, there is a new essay on my web site. It is kind of long, and I only
like some parts of it, but unfortunately I had to make it a certain amount of pages so I had
to add a lot of, in my opinion, unnecessary stuff.

4/5/2006 Dark is Evil
I am a big fan of Perfect Dark Zero. I have been trying to complete all of the solo campaign
but Dark Agent is giving me lots of trouble. I thought Perfect Agent was a tough one until I
completed it and unlocked Dark Agent, I am stuck on the third mission where I have to fight
Kilian in his craft and he always kills me with rockets. I can get there all the way with full
health but he always seems to be able to beat me but I will get it.
The South Park tonight was pretty good, I don't know if you saw it or not but they sorta poked
fun at Family Guy. There are new episodes of South Park every Wednesday and they are as good
as ever with the old formula of taking a serious subject, making fun of it, and yet still adding
some very serious points followed by a joke. Also Carlos Mencia is releasing new episodes after
South Park.
Bad news for Playstation fans, especially the few of you who own a PSP. When PSP was released
and Sony was making a huge deal about the movies being portable, I thought it was pointless. I
pretty much only want to watch movies on a decent size television, not on a portable mini-screen
and waste my battery life that I could be using to play games. But then I began to see a whole
lot of commercials for movie and they had PSP formats. So I thought maybe I was wrong. But
apparently I was correct because many film studios, including Universal Studios Home Entertainment,
is no longer going to develop UMD movie discs because they are making practically nothing.
"It's awful. Sales are near zilch. It's another Sony bomb -- like Blu-ray." It is still
not known how Blu-ray will do, but it is not looking good if Blu-ray and HD-DVD do not come
together because otherwise consumers will not want to purchase either one until a winner is
crowned. The average consumer does not need a change from DVD's, right now it fits the needs and
the price budget they are looking for. Only market is video games because the need of larger
capacity but Blu-ray is will make video games to expensive. There is not enough high definition
lovers in the market to make the cost worth while to release their movies on in HD.
Well that is all for today. As always, I hope you learned something.

4/1/2006 Tell me it ain't so
If you have visited Bungie.net within the past couple days Bungie says they are talking about
their next project. But I hope, I pray, that this is just a April's fools joke. It has to be. Just
the way they talked about it and looking at the picture I have a feeling it is. I guess we will
see within the next few days.
A new headset is coming out for the XBOX 360 from Plantronics. It is very similar to the Halo 2
headset but I sorta like this one more. It is really cool looking. If you want to look at it
compared to the Halo 2 headset or on someone, check it out
here.
There has also been an backwards compatibility update for the 360 that adds a few games
(including one I have been waiting for) to the list as well as fixes some problems with other
games. Here are the list of games:
New Compatible Games
BLACK
Star Wars Battlefront II
World Soccer Winning Eleven 9
In non-gaming news, The Simpsons movie has been officially announced by Twentieth Centruy Fox
and should be hitting theaters in 2007. If you want to keep up on just what was fake this
year for Aprils Fools jokes, visit my buddy Wikipedia. They have a page containing lots of
these years major April Fools jokes such as Google Romance, don't be fooled,
check it out.
