Wii The People
The Official Revolution Name
Nintendo's next console has officially been announced, no longer
shall it be referred to has the Revolution, but now simply as Wii. That is pronounced "we" like as
in "We are going to the mall." It is definitely a unique name, sorta. A little weird to talk about
in normal conversation. It may not be as "hip" or as "down" as Revolution, heck to be honest I have
no idea why they picked it; I don't hate it, it's just... weird. Maybe it's the sound you make
while you play it?
The only reason why I can think that they announced the new name
before E3 was so that people don't show up and be like "Where is the Revolution? What is Wii?"
And whether you like it or not, it is here to stay. Nintendo feels that this is a unique name
when compared to Revolution, similar to Google and Amazon, something that stands out. The special
spelling is to represent both the controllers and friends coming together and playing.
